About Ghost River Systems
Built by people who know these machines.
The Company
Founded in Alberta. Focused on one category.
Ghost River Systems was founded in Alberta in 2024, but the experience behind it spans a career at the top of the hay export industry. Our founder spent decades as a senior executive with the leading name in export hay pressing, selling and commissioning hundreds of millions of dollars of processing equipment, and working hands-on inside export hay facilities across the Pacific, the Middle East, and North America. If a facility presses hay for export, chances are we’ve walked its floor.
That career taught two lessons. First: the export trade runs on throughput and container math, and the equipment has to deliver both, every season. Second: a huge market, hay moving insidecountries, was being ignored by an industry built entirely around the export press. GRS exists to serve both: the Wraith for the export trade we know better than anyone, and the Tempest for the domestic market nobody else is building for.
Most equipment manufacturers walk away after the sale. Most parts suppliers don’t know the machines. We do both. Machines sold direct, installed and commissioned at your facility, and backed for the life of the machine. We’ve been on the other side of that gap and know what it costs an operation when parts don’t show up or the phone doesn’t get answered.

Why Ghost River
Why Ghost River
Deep Equipment Knowledge
Our team has spent decades inside commercial hay processing equipment, not just selling it, but designing hydraulic systems, troubleshooting electrical faults, and keeping machines running through harvest. That background drives everything from how we design our equipment to which parts we choose to stock.
Focused Inventory
We don't carry everything. We carry the right things: hydraulic and electrical components selected specifically for commercial hay processing machinery, stocked based on real-world failure patterns and seasonal demand.
Worldwide, Direct
Ghost River is based in Alberta and sells direct to commercial hay operations anywhere they run. Our equipment works in Ohio, Michigan, and across Western Canada today, and we install and commission wherever the facility is. No dealer in the middle, no markup, no slow parts pipeline.
The GRS Team
Decades of experience. No generalists.
The Ghost River team brings a combined 85 years of hands-on experience specifically with forage processing equipment. Not agricultural equipment broadly, hay processing machinery, the hydraulic systems that drive it, and the electrical systems that control it.
When you call Ghost River, you’re talking to people who have designed these machines, rebuilt them in the field, and sourced parts for them under harvest pressure. We understand the intricacies of your equipment because we’ve spent careers inside it.
Forage Processing Specialists
Every member of the GRS team has a background rooted specifically in forage processing equipment. We don't cover the full spectrum of agricultural machinery, we go deep on the category we know best.
Field Experience
Our experience isn't theoretical. The GRS team has designed hydraulic and electrical systems for commercial hay processing equipment, troubleshot failures under load, and kept operations running when downtime wasn't an option.
Built Into Every Design
That 85 years of field experience doesn't stay in the parts room, it drives every design decision in our equipment lineup. The Tempest and Wraith were engineered by people who have watched commercial hay equipment fail under real working conditions. Fewer surprises. Better repairability. Longer service life.
Parts Knowledge From Experience
We stock what we stock because we know what fails. Our inventory decisions are driven by decades of watching these machines run, and knowing exactly where they don't.
Custom Machinery
Need something built to spec?
Standard equipment doesn’t always fit a non-standard operation. If you have a processing application that needs a custom hydraulic or mechanical solution, the GRS team has the engineering background to scope and build it.
Custom machinery projects are taken on selectively, we work with operations where our specific experience in forage processing equipment adds real value.
