Custom Engineering & Product Development

The machine you need might not exist yet.

Every year, operators ask us for equipment they assume is industry standard, and it turns out nobody has actually designed it. That’s not a dead end. That’s how our machines get built.

Why This Works

Designed with the operator who needs it first.

Forage processing is a small industry with big gaps. Bale handling, resizing, line integration, throughput bottlenecks, operations run into problems the equipment catalog simply doesn’t answer. The big manufacturers won’t engineer for a niche. We will, because the niche is all we do.

Our development model is simple: the operator who needs the machine helps launch it. You bring the problem and fund the engineering; we design, build, and commission the first unit at your facility. You get equipment engineered around your throughput, your product spec, and your floor, not an adaptation of whatever exists.

That’s not a theory. The Tempest started exactly this way, a gap in the domestic market, developed into a production machine. Launch partners shape the spec, get the first units, and get launch pricing when the machine becomes part of the GRS line.

01

Bring the problem

Throughput targets, product spec, facility constraints, and what the catalog won’t solve. A call is enough to start.

02

Scope & engineering proposal

We spec the machine with you, mechanical, hydraulic (HPU configuration), controls, with a fixed development scope and timeline.

03

Build & commission at your facility

First unit built, installed, commissioned, and proven on your floor, with your crew trained on it.

04

It becomes a standard machine

Proven designs join the GRS line. As the launch partner you shaped the spec, run the first unit, and hold launch pricing.

Where We Can Help

If it touches hay, we can build it.

Bale Handling & Conveying

Infeed, accumulation, orientation, and transfer between processing stages, matched to your line speed.

Resizing & Reprocessing

Cutting, slicing, and re-forming bales to the format your market actually buys.

Pressing & Densification

Compression systems and HPU configurations engineered to your throughput and container targets.

Line Integration & Controls

PLC and HMI control systems that tie new equipment into your existing processing line.

Start the Conversation

Tell us about the machine you can’t buy.

A short conversation about your operation is enough to tell whether it’s an engineering project or a machine we already have on the floor.
